A selection dedicated to the translator Augusts Ģiezens and a series of seminars

On 20 September 2023, the opening of the selection "Augusts Ģiezens – the Challenge Mountain Climber" and the related series of seminars "Meeting in Texts. Ancient Literature and Its Translation into Latvian. Augusts Ģiezens – 135" took place in the "World of Rarities" room (Level 5) of the National Library of Latvia. The selection and seminars are dedicated to the 135th anniversary of Augusts Ģiezens (1888–1964), classical philologist, linguist, teacher and translator of ancient literature.
